How to delete your account
- Send us an email from the button below. Please write the mobile number your account is registered with, your name, and which app you use.
- We reply to confirm that the request is from you. We may ask you to confirm with a code sent to your registered mobile number.
- We delete your account and tell you when it is done.
You can also write to nivaacare@gmail.com.
What is deleted
When we delete your account we remove or anonymise the personal information we no longer need to keep, including:
- Your profile: name, mobile number, email address and photo.
- Your saved addresses and the details of the people you booked for.
- Prescriptions, reports and other files you uploaded.
- For professionals: your selfie, ID documents, qualification documents, work areas and bank or UPI details.
- For Mitras: your bank or UPI details and your referral code.
- Your notification settings and sign-in on all phones.
What we may have to keep
Some records must be kept for a period set by law, even after you delete your account. We keep only what is needed and only for as long as it is needed, and then we delete it.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Payment, invoice and payout records | Tax and accounting laws require them. |
| Records of a complaint or dispute that is still open | So that we can settle it fairly. |
| Records needed to prevent fraud or to follow a legal order | To keep other people safe and to follow the law. |
Visit reports that a professional wrote may be kept in a form that no longer shows who you are, if the law or a medical duty requires the record.
Before you ask
- Deleting an account cannot be undone. You will need to sign up again to use Nivaacare.
- If you have a visit booked, please cancel it first. We may not be able to delete an account while a visit is in progress.
- Professionals and Mitras: withdraw any money in your wallet first, so that it reaches your bank account.
- If you only want to stop notifications, you can turn them off in your phone settings without deleting your account.
